Not In Love With It

I bought a watch the other day, and while I liked it at the store, wearing it isn’t exciting me. Now, don’t get me wrong, it does what it’s supposed to do, but it’s a little bulkier than I think I wanted. It’s funny, because I’ve worn the same style Timex Expedition for years and years now. I just got bored I think, but I didn’t know what I wanted.

Learning As I Go

When it comes to running a business, I’m learning as I go. It’s been interesting to grow over the last year. I’ve found that I keep better records today than I did in the beginning of last year. I’m finding that I write more things down, keep track of what’s working and what’s not, but mostly I’m finding that I enjoy learning new things. While I’m just a tiny business, I need to keep track of my efficiency, what costs money and what makes money.

Looking for Fun

My hubby is burning out. Not only are they doing book closings, but also doing the yearly budget planning. Every time they get it about finished, people change things and he’s back to square one! He needs a vacation. We’re looking at a long weekend getaway in February, but I haven’t decided where yet. He wants to stay closer to home, so we’ll probably visit the shore or Poconos.

Here Comes the Snow!

They’re calling for snow tonight. They are expecting it to leave us about 4-7 inches overnight. Luckily, we picked up a snow blower this year, and I’m hoping it makes the process of cleaning up easier. I had a friend who would put a snow plow on the front of his truck years ago, and he’d just push the snow out of his driveway that way! I always tease my husband, saying we should get one for the jeep. Of course my friend had a really long driveway, while ours is the typical length of about 2 1/2 car lengths long!

Miss Gracie Won’t Put Her Toys Away

Dog toys litter my family room floor. Big Dog (Gracie) likes her toys spread out. She’s like a toddler in a sense, playing with something, getting bored and leaving it where it is. When I try to clean up and put her toys in a basket in one place, she doesn’t like this. She will slowly, one by one remove each toy until it’s back where she wants it!

College Costs Aren’t That Far Away

It’s about time for me to start getting Tuition Wise. I have one son that will be heading to college in less than 2 years, and another that starts high school next year! When kids are a little younger, you’re thinking braces, and going wow, they cost a lot! Now with college inching up on us, it’s a real eye opener.

On the Road to Recovery

I was able to go until 11:30 this morning without my pain medication! I’m seeing big improvements. I only have 2 days left of the stronger pain meds, a couple days of stronger ibuprofen and about 4 days left of the muscle relaxant I’m supposed to take before bed. I’m hoping by the time I finish all this medicine I’ll be okay with just regular Advil.

Is There Money in Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing isn’t going away. You can either jump in and try on your own, or just watch as those who are earning float by. I first ventured into affiliate marketing about a year ago, with very little success. This year, after taking proper time to research and learn all that I could, I jumped back into the game. I’m having more success than I did last year, and honestly, it takes time to gain growth.
