Have I told you about my latest place to play? I started a blog called “Don’t Eat the Sheep“. Oh? About the title, not sure, just popped in my head and I liked it….I get like that, it will be okay. It’s just silly thoughts, girly gossip and occasionally advice you may or may not want to take.
This is actually one of the original default themes they offer in Wordpress. Who knew one day I’d choose that over the others? I was looking for a streamline, clean look and this worked for me. Maybe I’ll tire of it later, who knows. I tend to change my theme every few months, and for some reason, the other one just started bothering me.
Looking for land or a place to retire? I know after the cold days we’ve been having this week, with ice storms and windy days in the 20’s and 30’s, I’m more and more convinced I want to go south! My husband is the one I have to convince. Of course when you’re family is in the general area, it’s hard to leave. For me, put me outside on one bluster and frigid day, and I’d be convinced in a moment. I’ll be looking for land in Florida, North and South Carolina, or maybe Georgia land for sale. What I know for certain, is it will be a warmer climate than New Jersey is! I’ve spent 99% of my life between Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and I’m ready to spend the next portion in warmer temperatures!
I’m one of those people who can instantly be sucked into a commercial! Luckily, I found a site that offers reviews for products you see on television. Now, what’s cool is after checking reviews, instead of buying through the television ad, I can go to a site like TVproducts4Less.com and get the same item cheaper! I love the internet, because it’s always saving me money. Just like you can find coupons and codes to save money when you shop online, now you can find TV products at a lower cost too!
Last night after dinner we went out to the store to pick up a few things, and then stopped for a snack. We showed up at the restaurant at 9pm and told them we were just there for dessert. I’ve recently given up my Diet Coke, so I had half cranberry/half water to drink and something called Peanut Butter Heaven. It was heavenly, and because I’ve been careful about what I’m eating, I allowed myself the treat.
I went to school for skin care a few years ago, and have my license as a Skin Care Specialist. I’ve also written a book for future estheticians. You can say it’s a passion. One of the things though, when you aren’t practicing professionally, is that some of the things you learn start to go hazy. I’d love to be as sharp on ingredient information as I was when I was still more involved. Now that I’m home writing, and away from skin care, I read magazines to keep updated. There are also trade shows, but last time I went, I spent way too much money!
I’m tired this morning. I was up late playing a game called Abundante! I play over at RealArcade.com and always end up loving the puzzle type games. My son laughs and says I play the same game in different versions over and over. I do, I confess. I like the ones where you match the pieces or colors together, though I like hidden object games too.
I’m getting a lot of emails with great holiday sales. With Borders, I got 40% off any book, and at Amazon I have free super-saving shipping just a little longer. Everyone is in that last mad dash to finish their holiday shopping. I picked up something yesterday while I was out, so I just have a little more to do.
I just realized it’s 1:30, and I’ve yet to jump in the shower! I usually do it earlier in the morning, but I guess I’ve been distracting chattering with my friends and blogging. I have a couple of different blogs, so when I get excited about different things, I tend to jump from blog to blog to talk about them. Take for instance the concert I went to….on my entertainment blog I was talking about the actual concert. On a personal blog, I was ranting about the people talking during the concert. I guess I just flit all over the place. Maybe it would be easier if I just had one place to blog at, but with varied interests, I guess I like to spread it all out! HA
