You Could Barely See

I had a long drive last night in the rain. I hate driving in the rain, don’t you? At one point there was a major downpour, and my 13yo son made the comment that he could barely see out the window. I told him that’s where having 25 years of experience driving comes in handy. He’s in the mindset that time and experience don’t always count to make things better. “Oh, I could do that!” is usually his phrase.

Credit and Balance Transfers

I thought I had it. I was pretty sure all my credit cards would be paid off, and then some of my patterns changed. Small charges started adding up, and once again I was looking at more debt than I had planned for. With credit cards, it’s easy to lose track of the fact that when you are charging something, you need to pay off your debt, or it’s just going to continue to grow.

Long Days are a Nice Change

I’m cooking dinner (well it’s simmering), and then I have to take the long drive to drop my son off. It’s always a weird shift when he’s been here for a longer time. I haven’t moved a whole lot, and I need to change that. Now that I’m home, I’ll be back in an active pattern once I get started again tomorrow. I hate that I had 4 lazy days in a row though! That’s a habit that’s too easy to go back to.

He Won! He Won!

While we were on vacation, we played mini golf a few times. Disney has the cutest course at their WinterSummerland Golf. Anyway, my son beat me for the first time! We play a couple times each year, and when he won by a couple of strokes, he almost turned a cartwheel.
