I seriously am ready to change mailboxes. I did try to fix it up, paint over the rusted area, and it’s not working anymore. I have a sad plain black mailbox, and it’s not fancy, but it should look clean and neat. It just doesn’t look how I want it to anymore. Anyway, I’ve been looking at other residential mailboxes, because I wasn’t sure what I wanted. I don’t want anything too decorative or dressy, but just a classy simple design. My husband came home from work early today, and we went out for awhile. First we went out to lunch up in Warren County. After lunch we decided to catch a movie. We saw “Superbad”. It was a good movie, but I realized something today. It was a slap of reality…and it went like this. “YOU ARE 40 and those movies aren’t made for you anymore.” MMmhmmm, it was good, but a lot of the humor, I just realized was aimed at a younger crowd. Maybe it’s time for me to let go of the “American Pie” movies, the let’s get drunk and try to have sex movies that are out there. I just don’t enjoy them the same way I used to. Sighs…I’m going to miss them, but they just aren’t doing it for me so much anymore. Everyone was raving about “Knocked Up” too, and I was like, yeah, it was good, but I wasn’t laughing so much. I want laugh out loud funny. Give me the “Bad Santa” and “Borat” movies.
The lady across the street is getting a tree or trees cut down in the back. There are all these guys and two big trucks out front. My dogs think they are protecting me from these people, so bark like crazy at the front window. Little dog has a normal bark, but big dog has this deep bark! Oy! It’s a big one, and her ears are back. They’ve been there for awhile, so she goes in and out of it being okay that they are across the street. That dog can B.A.R.K…I know she’s doing her “job” as she feels the need. She stops when I tell her it’s okay, but something triggers her again. I hop they finish with the trees soon.
I decided to go out and get my nails done. I really wanted a pedicure, and to relax. I decided to get a reflexology pedicure, and they used this gel first in the tub. It was all mushy and fun to play with my feet in. Anyway, my feet feel great. I’ve been on the edge of a headache all day, so I thought going out for awhile would help. I don’t like the color I picked out for my nails. I can either redo them myself, or just let it go, which I will. I’m usually much better about picking colors I like, but this is the second time in a row, I was just a bit off. No clue what’s going on with me! Loving my toes though…a nice bright red! I had a subdued coral last week.
Yesterday I was discussing vanities, now we have to move on and look at light fixtures. I don’t know about you, but I want my bathroom to be bright. I have a current light fixture I picked out about 5 years ago, and though it serves the purpose, I think it’s a little dated, so I may get a new bathroom lighting to change the look of the bathroom, when we redo it.
I’ve been going through a lot of pictures over at iStock.com. I love that site, and have used work from there in the past. I’m about to start another website project, and will be using some pictures from there. The quality of the work is excellent. I actually like searching for work too, because sometimes the pictures I come across help me with new ideas. I found most of the pictures I’ll be working with, but I’m going back later to choose 2 or 3 more. I’ll be picking up about 10 pictures to start, and may end up adding a few more later.
