Coupon Codes and Savings
July 31, 2007 on 8:05 pm | In Life and Leisure, Web & Internet | 1 CommentOur dogs are on Glucosamine for their joints now, and my one dog is responding well to it. It’s something we’ll certainly keep up with, because he’s going to be prone to arthritic problems with Lyme Disease. We bought the first container from a pet meds site, but let’s face it, it can get costly. That’s where a site like Coupon Chief comes in. All I have to do is go to their site, look under their pet section and get coupon codes or see what deals they have from different sites, and I’ll be able to save money. They have coupons for big companies like PetCo and PetSmart. I found a coupon from PetCareRX that offers free shipping, another that offers a percentage off my entire order and others. It’s the easiest way to save money; check CouponChief.com first! I’ll be checking out the PetCareRX coupons before we order our next batch of Glucosamine. We order a lot of our pet meds online now. If you’re partial to one store over the other, check out the PetCo deals or PetSmart.
Seriously, there are so many different stores to choose from, you’re bound to find one that works for you. It just doesn’t make sense to pay more. Now that I know I can get great deals at different stores, I’ll be checking CouponChief.com before ordering something!
Send a Card With Purpose
July 31, 2007 on 7:58 pm | In Life and Leisure, Web & Internet | No CommentsIf you’re good about remembering to get tested for important things like mammograms, pap smears and other things, you may want to take advantage of that to remind others. I’m horrible about remembering things, so I have to put it on a calendar, or I’ll forget. My mom remembers all of that stuff, my sister barely thinks about it. We’re all different, but now there’s a way to remind your friends and family to get those health check-ups.
At InteliHealth.com they have little e-cards you can send out to others to help them remember to schedule those important tests. Go to their site, then click on the Interactive Tools section, and start sending those e-cards! It won’t cost you anything, and you can helped the people you care about!
Cool Sofas
July 31, 2007 on 6:32 pm | In Life and Leisure | No Comments
Do you have your own style? We all know what we like, but taking it to the next level is what CoolSofa.com is all about. You can custom design your own piece of furniture! They’ve done work on Sofas for places like The Venetian in Las Vegas, the Playboy Mansion, Google and Ebay!
I like the Rector. That’s my favorite style, but the black leather isn’t my taste. I’d go more for a copper microsuede. They have choices like leather, leatherette, microsuede, velvet, chenille and more. I can even decide which side I’d want the chaise on. You can choose from the styles they have, or you can design your own.
They’ve had big name clients choose them for customization as well, such as Snoop Dog and Dennis Rodman. I’m guessing my style would be a little different then Dennis Rodman’s style, but that’s the great thing, they could accommodate both of our unique style choices. If you’d like to check out all their great products, head over to CoolSofa.com. This post has been brought to you by CoolSofa.com.
Lunch Surprise
July 31, 2007 on 6:22 pm | In Life and Leisure, Family | No CommentsWhat a great guy I have. I had a little bit of a rough night last night, wasn’t feeling so great. Today, my husband came home at lunch time to check up on me. I’m doing fine, but it was sweet of him. He also stopped to pick up some protein for lunch, since I’m watching my carbs today. It’s the little things like that, showing you care, you genuinely go out of your way to let someone know you’re thinking of them, that makes you feel special.
Thanks to my genuine and kind husband for always letting me know I’m special to him.

Clean-Up Time Today
July 28, 2007 on 1:41 pm | In Life and Leisure, Family | No CommentsWe’re in a push to do a really thorough pull apart of our house. We going room by room and tackling things that may have slipped through the cracks. It all started when I moved some stuff around, to create a larger desk space and area. I went from a tight small desk, to an L shaped desk that offers me more room.
You can see the extra space that it allows me, and now my son has his own little corner. Either way, we’re now tackling some other projects we’ve been putting off. Today, I’m looking at totally taking my bathroom apart piece by piece, and going through things. I’m a product junkie, so that means I have tons and tons of things in my bathroom, like say 8 styling products, 5 brushes, 6 conditioners, etc. You get the picture! Anyway, the bathroom is my first stop. Next I’ll be working on the sun room. Sometimes things end up getting a little cluttered. We may have old newspapers out there, maybe some extra shoes. I’m taking the vacuum, and getting every square inch of it, along with the extra things that need to be put away. My final target is the dining room, which is pulled apart, but now I have to do the sorting project.
My husband is taking on the front of the house, where he’ll make sure to brush down any cobwebs with a broom, and a clean-up on the small side yard by our garage. It’s time to get those little jobs done. They are the ones that are overlooked for other things. Today is pick up the slack day at my house!
Have a great weekend. I’m looking for a feeling of accomplishment when it’s all said and done!
I Love Flexibility
July 28, 2007 on 1:32 pm | In Life and Leisure, Web & Internet | No CommentsI love that I work from home now. I love that I have the flexibility in my schedule to work when I want to, and to be able to take off when I want to. In fact, I’m looking forward to some more beach time in August. Working from home is something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time, but I just wasn’t sure how to do that. That’s where blog advertising came in. With a company like PayU2Blog.com, they help the advertisers get the links that they want placed, while the blogger earns income writing about different things. I’ve always loved writing, so this is a great way to get to use a skill I enjoy, along with getting paid in the process. I’d say that’s a win-win situation!
Fireplace and Grill
July 28, 2007 on 1:29 pm | In Life and Leisure, Family | No CommentsMy sister got her outdoor fireplace, around the same time we got our new grill. The other day, my mom asked if we’d been using the grill a lot, and honestly, not so much lately, because my husband’s schedule is running a little later than usual. By the time he gets home, to get the grill going, we’d be eating too late. They are doing the budget through the next couple of years at his place right now. Anyway, she asks my sister if she’s using her outdoor fireplace a lot. Honestly, it’s been too hot to use a fireplace, she answered! It sounded bad, here we bought these things we were rarely using, but they are products that we’ll have for years, and get lots of use out of! My sister will use that fireplace almost nightly when the weather cools just a little bit. When it’s August and 90% humidity, a fire is the last thing you’re thinking of! As for us, I lit the fire the other day, did some barbecue chicken, and hopefully this weekend we’ll use it too!
Tee Time
July 28, 2007 on 1:21 pm | In Life and Leisure, Family | No CommentsI’m a miniature golf girl, and have been thinking of going Chip and Putt. Honestly, when I see those people out on the golf greens, I’m a little jealous I don’t all ready know how to golf. I asked my husband if he’d be interested in taking it up as a hobby or sport, something we could do together. He just doesn’t have the interest. I used to go to the driving range when I was younger, and get a bucket of balls. Our luck, we’d be out on the green, a big storm would come along and suddenly our golf cart breaks down, and there’s no golf cart parts handy to fix it!
Anyway, I suggested racquetball, he said no, suggested tennis, he doesn’t think so, but maybe he’d like to do some bowling. He says, can’t we just go for walks in the park or something? Well, of course we can silly, I’m just looking for other options too! By the way, we did take that great walk at Grounds for Sculpture last week! That’s a neat place.
Let’s Talk Pheromones
July 27, 2007 on 10:46 pm | In Life and Leisure | No CommentsWhat exactly are pheromones? You know you’ve heard of them, but maybe you aren’t sure….are they chemicals? a cologne? maybe your neighbor’s pet?
Pheromones are a chemical that your body releases. Animals and people release pheromones. You send out these signals with these chemicals, and other people react and pick up on those signals. They then cause that second person to react to you!
It’s as simple as that.
They are little chemical signals, that cause other people to react to you!
