Do you say hoagie, sub, poorboy or sandwich? I ordered three hoagies to go tonight and picked them up o the way home. It got me thinking about my friend who calls soda…pop. It’s funny how different parts of the country have different expressions for the same thing. What about people who call a soda a coke, even if it’s not a Coke brand product. That cracks me up…
I’m having a hard time keeping up with the latest trends these days, but luckily I read a lot of magazines so I can catch up and sound somewhat current when I’m talking to my teenagers or my niece and nephew who are teens also. My niece was talking about clothes the other day, and honestly, I didn’t recognize half of the new names. I remember Levis, and the days of Jordache and Sergio Valente, oh and Gloria Vandervilt. I’m showing my age aren’t I? Now a days the hot styles are true religion jeans, Frankie B and 7 for all mankind! I’d need fashion school if I went back to school, just to know what’s trendy again. Alas, I’ve crested, and my kids are telling me what’s cool these days.
I’m scrambling because I kept feeling like our vacation was farther away. Well, here it is, tomorrow, and suddenly I’m getting stuff done today. I brought the dogs to the kennel, got a hair cut, vacuumed the house, did my nails, I’m wrapping up laundry and packed my son, and drove the 2 hour round trip to pick him up! phew….oh, and I did walk my 2.5 miles today too. I’m beat, and it’s not quite 9pm! I have more to do, I can’t be tired yet.
I decided to start nursing school after my first son was born. The problem was I couldn’t afford it on my own. I didn’t have that kind of money saved up for school, and I needed to find another option. Luckily, there you can get a grant or a student loan, and with opportunities like that, many people are able to better educate themselves. I never finished nursing school, but did go back to school again in my thirties. I got my skin care license this time.
I love my scrubs. I wore them to work today, they are simply dark blue and so comfortable. I love how easy they will clean up. I got some facial mask on my shirt, and a lotion stain. They will lift right out of these. Why don’t they make more clothes like that. I know, I know, not everyone wants clothes made out of this material, but at least clean-up is a breeze.
I was over at CarGuyGarage.com and saw the coolest organizer. I’ll be the first to admit my garage could be a little better organized, and it comes down to having proper garage storage. Right now, we’re using metal wire baker racks to store some things, but tools are laying around and only a couple have a proper home. I saw this 8 foot diamond plate garage cabinets, and the best part is they have a counter top too, so that you can have a working space! You can even choose a smooth top or the diamond top for the counter. I’d think the smooth top would probably be more useful for us. What I love is there’s a spot where you can click for an instant coupon, and they’ll email you a coupon! This particular unit you can get with or without lights. It’s a beauty! The best part, it was made in the USA, and that’s always a bonus. My husband would love this. I’m going to have to show him what I found at CarGuyGarage.com!

I did it, I did it, I started the laundry. Try not to panic, everything will continue on like usual. 
I think I’m in heaven! I just found a website that sells shower heads in multiples. I’m not talking just selling a lot of shower heads, but they sell a shower head that has 2 and 3 heads on it! How cool is that? The Zoe Captain’s Quarters system is awesome. I can’t wait to show it to my husband. Since our bathrooms are the next thing we’re upgrading, we’re jotting down notes of things we see, so that when we actually do the project, we know what we want. That’s what I want! I found it over at ShowerBuddy.com! They don’t only have shower heads, but they also have kitchen faucets, but since we just redid our kitchen, I need to focus on the bathroom stuff at this time.
You’d think I’d be making a list. I do leave for vacation Saturday. I am in stall mode I think, and I just can’t get it in my head. Hello, Deb…? Is that you? You are going on vacation on Saturday, and you may want to get some stuff done, since you’ll be busy Thursday and Friday….
There’s a neat online store that offers fun home and garden items to help make your yard and home more decorative! They offer everything from Rain Gauges to decorative flags, to statues and more. I love the Sun and Moon Sundial and the Grazing Garden Crane. Looking through their site makes me smile, because there are so many nice things to add to your yard or home to give it just that something extra. I love when people take time to put a little extra special touch to their yard.
