Heal Me, Melissa Etheridge
Ain’t it crazy
For a moment there
I just gave up trying
But now I see
You can let the light in
You can begin again
Ain’t it crazy
I lay me down in this sweet perfection
I am a witness to my resurrection
Ain’t it crazy
For a moment there
I just gave up trying
But now I see
You can let the light in
You can begin again
Ain’t it crazy
I lay me down in this sweet perfection
I am a witness to my resurrection
When we came out of the supermarket tonight, I looked up and the moon looked crystal clear, like the best HDTV picture! The sky was such a crisp blue without any clouds, and the contrast of the moon made it pop. My husband mentioned something about a “true blue moon” and said it was when a full moon comes twice in a month. I’m not up on the latest moon cycles, so I can’t tell you about that. It did make me stand there for just a few more moments, looking up at the sky…and really appreciating how beautiful a simple night sky can be.
Have you ever been to Spain? Barcelona comes to mind because of the Olympics. I was over at EasyToBook.com and they have a website where you can find Barcelona hotels with their easy search engine. You can choose your dates, and a list of hotels are shown. You can then narrow that search by filtering out choices. You can choose to filter based on a star rating of the hotel, or things like room types or location. You can also select the type of currency you want it to display in. I put it in US dollars so I can understand the pricing better.
We were out to dinner tonight and I mentioned I picked up a wireless mouse and flash drive for my laptop. My husband says to me, you should get used to using the touch pad rather than a mouse or you’ll become reliant on the mouse. I look at him and go…what’s the big deal? I don’t have an issue becoming reliant on a mouse. I hate those touch pads. I can move around, but forget about highlighting and all that other garbage! So we go about our conversation, about 20 minutes later, he’s talking about something at work, and he starts laughing and goes, I hate those touch pads, I use a mouse at work for my laptop! What??? Didn’t you just tell me I should get used to not using one? The stinker…he uses one too! Anyway, I got a kick out of that. Maybe it was a “had to be there moment”, but the look on his face, all sheepish, like, oops…did I just say not to use one, and you realize I use one?
I want to tell you about the Spiritual Cinema Circle. It’s a monthly movie club that offers spiritual and inspirational films to their members for the price of $21 a month. We went to the movie theater this past weekend, and it cost $21 to see one movie, a matinee! For $21 dollars you can get a DVD with four movies on it! You can have a weekly movie night and watch movies the entire family can enjoy together. Here’s the best part, the inspirational videos are yours to keep! You don’t have to return anything. You’ll be building an inspirational movie collection! You can even get exclusive original movies. One movie coming this year is the film adaptation of Neale Donald Walsch’s classic, “Conversations With God”. I just finished telling a friend I started rereading that last night! I have the entire series, and hope to read them back to back. The best part of the Spiritual Cinema Circle is they want you to be satisfied. If for any reason you aren’t interested in staying a member, all you have to do is let them know, and they’ll stop sending you movies. It’s that easy. If you’re looking for movies to that will not only entertain you, but also enlighten and inspire you, then look to the Spiritual Cinema Circle. My son is on the phone explaining why he needs an iPod Nano. Of course, this would be a more interesting conversation if he didn’t all ready have an iPod video! Now, he has decided he needs another one. Oh yes, he also has the Shuffle as well. Why do you need the Nano when you have the iPod Video all ready? Battery life and other stuff…or is it just stuck in your head that you want it. I told him to save his money. He wants to give it another go down the boardwalk! Ha! I told him to save his money…again.
I’ll be going to the Skin Care trade show in Philadelphia this year. It used to be held in February, but this year it was moved to October. I love to see what’s new in skin care, take classes for continuing education, and get new things to try and learn about. One of the favorite things about trade shows is the freebies. You always get so many new things to try or bring with you. Whether it’s the latest skin cream, an exfoliant, or brochures, pens or t-shirts promoting a company.
Tonight I have a dinner date with my husband. We’ve taken to Wednesday nights as our night to go out together. We always make sure the other one knows we are a priority to each other, and having this pattern is one we both look forward to. Tonight we’ll go to one of our local favorite eateries, and then we’ll hit the supermarket. Romantic, eh? For us it is, because we goof off, smile and laugh together. Taking time to enjoy even the small chores together, turns into a fun event, rather than something “we have to do”.
Gracie could be the talk of the town in a Dorothy Bauer Crystal Double Mesh Dog Collar! I was over at The Gilded Paw, where they have distinctive gifts for pets and pet owners, and they have some adorable stuff! I really like the pet stairs, as we’ve been looking at them. Buster has issues with his Lyme Disease and his legs stiffen up sometimes. We were thinking with the stairs it would be easier for him to get up on the bed. He likes to come say goodnight before we go to bed. Maybe an All That Glitters Swarovski Crystal Stretch Dog collar would be more Gracie’s style. When you’re done looking at the collars, head over to the Back Pack section! What a perfect gift for a young child! I don’t know if I like the wolf back pack or the tiger one better! If you’re looking for gifts of distinction for your pet or your favorite pet owner, whether it’s for fancy cat collars, travel apparel or other fun gifts, remember to check out The Gilded Paw. They even have a hot sale going on until June 1st, so hurry over now, and you’ll save money! This post has been brought to you by TheGildedPaw.com.
