Self-Portrait Sunday: A Handy Edition

I painted my nails this morning. They were a taupe-beige last week, so I went red with a sparkle this week. My hands aren’t model gorgeous, but I love them. My fingers are pudgy, but they suit me just fine. My hands are what allow me to write on a regular basis. They move quickly when I want to type, and they work well even when I’m tired. Even when I’m ready for bed and my eyes want to close, my hands are trained to keep typing away until I walk away from the keyboard.
I appreciate my hands…they help me do so many things through out the day like holding my toothbrush so I can brush my teeth, holding the hair dryer so I can dry my hair, washing my body in the shower, and helping me hold my fork so I can eat.
They may not be pretty, but they’re all mine!

Love that red nail polish. I should totally do that!
They look nice, it’s a good color.
Yay for red fingernails! Whenever I paint my fingernails red, I walk around singing that one line from the Tom Petty song… “Blood red nails on her fingertips”. Which reminds me that I’ve been meaning to paint mine. Maybe tonight.
ooh la la red !!!
