Cold and Flu Season

I’ve got my first cold of the season. I was able to get a flu shot this year, so hoping that stays at bay. I’m trying the new Zicam nasal swabs, which they are saying is clinically proven to shorten the length of a cold by 3x. Studies were reported in Ear, Nose & Throat Magazine per the little direction pack. We’ll see….

One of the things that has me concerned is last December is when my last bought of things started, but that time they didn’t let up for months…after going through Shingles, Mono, Bronchitis, Walking Pneumonia, Asthma, Diabetes and Shingles again, I’ve been in the clear for a few months.

The Diabetes stayed, but the rest cleared….well, the Shingles cleared, but I still have weird sensations in my head. You can read about PNH here. I get paranoid the Shingles will come back a third time at this point…but I guess there’s no knowing. I didn’t realize you could get it a second time!

How will you be combatting cold and flu season this year? Loading up on vitamins? Drinking lots of fluids? Extra hand washing? Avoiding others who are ill?

Either way, I hope you make it through the season as healthy as you possibly can!
